Remember my telephony problems? Yep, they're back. I initially thought that it was the alarm system that started the whole thing. Now I'm not so sure. After further extensive troubleshooting I think that I've isolated the problem to either the front door intercom (boo, but probably an easy fix) or an internal short (double boo and I have no idea how to fix). The problem lies in the fact that the house has THIRTEEN phone jacks currently wired. Toss on the fact that the internal phone wiring panel is completely unlabeled and I've got a doozy of a troubleshoot on my hands. I'll try to remember to post a picture of the rats nest of wires that I'm trying to deal with.
Also in the book of Pedro vs. Masses of Copper Wire, the brake lights in my car went completely out on Sunday. The Girl was driving my car back from the grocery when someone pulled up beside her and mentioned that her brake lights weren't working. I've had the standard "brake light circuit' warning for a couple of years now and have learned to ignore it. I guess I gotta go in and fix that shit.
Alone neither of these problems would be that big of a deal. But add them together with Defcon 5 wedding planning and I think I might just flee to a non-extradition treaty country for a bit. Anyone want to join me? Either that or I could just flip the house for a condo and learn to take the bus.
I need a clone or some sort of helper monkey. Any suggestions?
