The Internets Are Bubbling - Easing In Edition

My body's internal systems seem to be having an adverse reaction to the vastly inferior food of this North American continent.  Without going into too much detail, let me just say that the effects of buffalo chicken tacos from Burrito Beach on a system used to mild carbs and cured pork products can be devastating.

I may be repeating myself here but BOTI World HQ has just deployed Office 2007.  It seizes up my computer so badly I feel like I should shove my wallet into the DVD drive.

1.  The Smart car seems cool, but the perpendicular parking they advertise would never work in a major city.  How many minutes before some asshole would smash your door with his Suv's bumper?

2.  That John K spot is hilarious.

3. I think your GI tract deserves its own blog.

The perp parking thing works in the old country b/c the Smarts are allowed to park in designated scooter parking places (they're roughly three scooters wide).  The perp parking also wouldn't really work due to the way parking metered spaces are designed.  Plus, the smashing.

So, I run O12 at home on my 4+ year old home-built box and I agree that it's slow, but certainly better than O11 in terms of features, ease of use (if you can get used to the new toolbar metaphor).

Outlook 12 is only marginally improved, but Powerpoint is a step change in goodness.  From someone who spends a lot (read: all) of his time in PPT, I can tell you first hand how much better it is.  This is what happens when you don't let the PPT developers sit in San Francisco eating hash brownies and make them join the rest of the office crew in lovely Redmond.
