The Internets Have No Use For Your Delicious Spongecake - I Wouldn't Eat That Edition

I'm flying from MDW -> PHL on Friday evening so I can be arm candy for The Girl at one of her work functions.  Sunday I've got to wake up at 5am to catch a flight home so we can go to a wedding that afternoon.  Woo.   Sunday wedding.  I can't wait.  Maybe we'll get endlessly delayed at the airport?  I'm not sure what's worse:  Spending 8 hours stuck in PHL or spending my Sunday at a wedding filled with people I don't know.

The answer to yesterday's trivia question is:  Pie

  • One of the more amusing things I've done in the past couple of years is strap model rocket engines to the back of a Barbie car.  It should be noted that the light weight and plastic wheels of Barbie's Dream Corvette do not exactly provide the traction necessary to cope with a bank of four 'C' sized rocket engines.  The semi precise science required to ignite all four engines at the same time also proved a barrier to the desired straight line travel.  Still, nothing's funnier than a 1/10 scale Mattel car spinning uncontrollably then bursting into flames.  It seems that someone has stolen my idea of fun and actually made it a semi organized sport (ok sport is a bit of a streach) - Rocket Car Day
  • Want to know why there are no longer any game changing trades at the deadline anymore?  - Sandwiches.  (If you don't know what deadline I'm talking about there's really no need to click on the link)
  • Video of idiot teenager eating a habanero pepper.  Way to rub that shit in your eyes moron
  • Video of a WWII era plane landing on an active highway
  • Jessica Alba is single.  Let us know when your restraining order kicks in (Confidential to The Girl - I think she's ugly)
  • Jerry Seinfeld's surprisingly good 'lifehacking' tip - Don't break the chain.  I could probably take that advice myself
  • Walgreen's wants to knock down that cool 'Spindle' art installation in Berwyn (Byyyyyrrrrr-wiiiiiiiiin).   Boo Walgreens.  Don't make me transfer my prescriptions to CVS.
  • Easy, breezy meals from the Old Gray Lady
