My extended holiday was fun. Thanks for asking. Once again the neighborhood's illegal fireworks show did not disapoint. The only fail of the weekend was the third pitcher of margaritas on Friday night. The whatever impossibly shitty tequila they used in them left quite the impression the next day.
Ringo Starr was is in town today. I used my crazy citizen journalist skills to snap the below picture while I was on the way back from picking up my lunch (Chipotle + all three salsas + Tabacso Chipotle sauce = Painful mistake). The crowds were not nearly as big as this Tribune dispatch would lead you to believe. Also, there were a surprising amount of kids/tweens there. So are the Beatles truly timeless or were they just dragged there by their parents?
The tequila wreaked havoc on my system as well...I can't wait to go back.
