I told myself that I wasn't going to be a sucker for the Olympics this year but I think I have found myself caring. It's shit like the 4x100 Freestyle Relay come from behind win that get me. Still wish they'd air more 50m air rifle during primetime though.
I spent Saturday night in a bar in downtown Morris, IL. I've never ever seen a bar with such a complete selection of 'malt beverages' in my life. Somehow I managed to not get the shit beat out of me.
Come on, they had that spooky big brother watch tower right here in Grant Park for the Taste...fat lot of good it did. I guess the dudes in the tower couldn't see all the way to the southwest side of the loop, where everyone got shot.
As I lack kevlar and a desire to mix with overweight Shaumburgians, I avoided the taste. This Tribune company article was pretty much the only mention of it I could find. No pics. Sorry
